  • President Muhammadu Buhari breaks a jinx. He is right now on official visit to Eboyin State, Southeast of Nigeria. Since the outbreak of the agitation for the actualization of a separate State of Biafra spearheaded by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Buhari had stayed away from the geopolitical zone. He has not even gone there since he became President in May 2015. Only the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo visited the area a few times. The President has since his arrival been commissioning projects. One of the projects is the 700-metre bridge which is part of trans African Highway.
  • Another sum of N360 million traced to Mrs Patience Jonathan, wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan has been frozen. Justice Hadizat Rabiu-Shagari of the Federal High Court in Lagos issued the order today at the request of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC in a suit filed by the Commission in her court. The latest finding is just one of the various amounts of money running into billions of Naira that had been traced to her.
