Rex Tillerson, US Secretary of State

Wire services are reporting that the United States Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, 65 who has been on diplomatic tour of Africa has suspended his visit to Nigeria and is returning to Washington. According to  a US diplomat there was need for Tillerson to deal with urgent work back home. He was scheduled to arrive in Nigeria today and hold talks with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city. He was also billed to address a news conference along side his Nigerian counterpart, Geoffrey Onyeama today at about noon, Nigerian time. Tillerson was being expected in Nigeria from N’Djamena, Chad after a quick meeting with the country’s President, Idriss Deby. He had earlier visited Ethiopia, Djibouti, and Kenya. He had an extended stay in Nairobi, the Kenyan capital due to the reason that he was feeling unwell.
