President Muhammadu Buhari attended the Africa/Russia Summit in Sochi, Russia where he, on the sideline held bilateral meeting with his counterpart, Vladimir Putin. The Nigerian leader invited Russia to assist his country in the completion of the crisis prone Ajaokuta Steel Mill which was originally designed by the Russians. He also sought cooperation with Russia in the Nigerian oil and gas industry as well as in the development of nuclear energy.
